A Year of Listening

Practical help and support groups

A ‘Year of Listening’ is an exciting new 12-month Kent wide community engagement project. Social Enterprise Kent have been commissioned by Macmillan to gather your experiences of the barriers to accessing cancer treatment and support services from the point of diagnosis onwards. We want to hear from groups and communities living in Kent, who have been impacted by cancer. We want to hear about individual lived experiences to improve the pathways for future generations. We will have these conversations through informal Listening Events and planned Focus Group meetings across Kent in your community. Listening Events and Focus Group meetings will be all about dedicating time to listen and gather your feedback about the cancer services you have received so that we can help to shape and improve them. If you would like to share your experience of living with cancer or would like to be invited to our face-to face Listening Events and Focus Group meetings, please register your interest to Rhianna Stuart on r.stuart@sekgroup.org.uk or on 07586 058939
